No... Where did you read that? Acetone mixed with nitrocellulose makes Nitrocellulose Lacquer (N.C. Lacquer), which can be colored and and applied to fuse to seal it... This is why visco is green... If you used clear nitrocellulose lacquer, it would be the color of the cotton they used to make it.
